[Businessmtg] Prudent Reserve discussion

Biz-Pals,

Though I have been in favor of lowering the prudent reserve,
some of the reasoning that has been presented for keeping
the reserve at "one year's expenses," as it is currently, has merit.
I have no problem with that, and, in the interests of unanimity,
don't mind stating the obvious - that a 12-month's expenses reserve
provides more security than would a 6-month's expense reserve.

One of the advantages of KBDM is that we can have free and open
discussions out of which ideas and motions emerge which promote unity
rather than acrimony.

ASP has never had an official vote on its prudent reserve, so we do need
to attend to this and vote. It sounds to me as though ASP is more than
willing to vote affirmatively on making "one year's expenses" our prudent
reserve.  I will support that or similar language were it to be proposed
in a motion.
