Hello Everyone,

The business meeting is coming to a close with very little input regarding
Agenda Item 1 which was a discussion and exchange of information on the
Knowledge Based Decision Making process that we are using here and that some
of you are using out there. Part of the reason for this discussion is that it
was asked for in previous business meetings by some of you. I am disappointed
twofold here, first because those who asked for this discussion have not
participated and second because I had hoped that there would be an open
sharing from those who are using this process in their face to face
groups/districts/areas, so that we would all become more familiar and
comfortable with this process.

I have gone over the sharings from the last month regarding item two on the
Agenda, "using monies over and above the prudent reserve to send someone from
ASP to the Al-Anon conference in Pittsburgh in July" and there is a huge
division in this group regarding this matter.

In accordance with VII. B. 2., 3., 4., 5. we have not reached any type of
consensus on this matter and there is no time left for further discussion on
this matter to attempt to reach a consensus on it. And before anyone jumps up
and down and says "I told you so and points fingers at me as the Chairperson
for this meeting not bringing this part of our agenda up on the date stated in
the agenda, you are right I did not do it because we have were not anywhere
near reaching a consensus. For those of you who choose to believe it is a
stalling tactic or a form of control, all I can say is you are entitled to
your opinion on that and I would ask that you not spill that into this
meeting, rather that you practice the principles of the program and talk to
your sponsor about your feelings. We are here to support and encourage one
another not to slander, be judgmental or to condemn others for their actions
or troll the members off list to justify our points of view.

According to the KBDM process the discussion should continue until a consensus
of some type is reached regarding, not just this item, but any agenda item.
Since our business meeting is adjourning I think it is time to put this item
aside as something where no consensus could be reached in the time frame we
have, it needs to be dropped off of the agenda and laid to rest.

I thank those who did share on the KBDM process and offered their input into
this meeting. I appreciate the effort you all made to research and share your
knowledge with us and participate in the discussion.

The business meeting will now adjourn.

Love and Serenity,
Dawn
