Hello Everyone,
When the Business Meeting started I sent out an email to the group, along with the link on the web page on our website regarding the "BUSINESS MEETING KBDM PROCESS as ASP" and I asked everyone to read it.
Part of the KBDM process is that "motions are developed by consensus after thorough discussion". In the email I sent out, #8 outlines the Group Conscience. In referring to #8-3 it states: "if the Chair, or any other member, feels that the motion is poorly worded or contrary to the perceived consensus, amendments to the motion may be made."
I attempted to give the person making the motion the opportunity to do just that and it was turned down. Since this motion reflects something less than the consensus and the core of the discussion, I am unsure as to how to proceed at this very moment. I am going to do a bit of research and then make a decision as to what to do about in this situation.
In the meantime, I would ask that there be no further discussion or motions put on the floor. I will send out an email to the meeting tomorrow and then let you all know what my research has provided to me.
Thanks for your patience in this matter.
Love and Serenity,
Dawn
