[Businessmtg] Update of Research and Adjourning the Meeting until May 1

Hello Everyone,

When this business meeting started I put together a format for using the KBDM process based on the information that we had.  For the first month it appeared to work quite well.  As we moved into the second month some holes started to appear and we reached a point that was not covered in the information that we had.  So I went on a research project and found some more information regarding using the KBDM process.  

I have revised our original format and it has been posted on the website at the following link.  http://www.asp-afg.org/ASP/nbm/Process_vs2.htm  Please read this document and familiarize yourself with the process, as it is now much more complete than what we originally understood. 

One of the things that I have discovered in the last couple of days is that as the Chair person I missed a key step in this process.  I failed to state the points that we were in agreement on before going ahead and asking for a motion.  Missing this step allowed for a motion to be made that did not fit the consensus or the meeting.   

I am going to toss out the motion made by Vicky - not because she made the motion out of order but because I asked for it out of order.  


I am also looking at the calendar and paying attention as to how close we are to the end of the month.  Due to my work schedule I am unable to get the meeting back on track and reformulate the question and put together the consensus in a manner that allows for us to wrap the meeting up prior to the end of the month.


I am going to table the discussion of Agenda Item 2 and subsequent call for a motion, etc to a later date.

Again, thanks for your patience and for remembering that your trusted servants also have busy lives and schedules that they are working around.  I encourage you all to read the information that has been posted on the website regarding the Business Meeting Process at ASP and familiarize yourself with it before we open the Business Meeting in May.
