Thanks Sandy for sharing this information with us. This is a nice
explanation of the KBDM and it helps me to see how important it is to have
more information rather than less. I also appreciate that you shared where
you received your information from.

The information that is compiled on the website also came in part from the
conference summary and from a document from WSO that was forwarded to me by
someone in the program that their group received from WSO when they were
starting to use this process in their meetings.

What I have discovered in my study of this process is that using it involves
patience as there is no quick answer to things. As people talk and share
and discuss a matter, it evolves and sometimes, perhaps oftentimes, more
questions come up.

I like that the KBDM allows us time to move through a topic, not having an
end in mind when we first start the discussion. To me it follows the
journey of Al-Anon that I have been on. I used to think the destination was
the focal point, what I am learning is that it is all the points in between
that are most important. I liken it to taking a trip like I used to. It
meant get in the car and drive, only stopping to put fuel in the car and to
take bathroom and munchie/food breaks at that time. Like everything else in
my life taking a trip has evolved. Now it means to get in the car, stop and
take a picture of something that catches my attention, wander around the
surroundings and enjoy the stops along the way (and not just at the gas
stations now). The bonus of this method of travel is that there is a lot to
talk about and share individual insights about that are not there when I
simply get in the car and drive with only thought to the destination.

I would like to invite all of the members of the business meeting to share
their thoughts and/or any information that they have on the KBDM so that we
might all gain a better understanding of the process that we are using that
seems to parallel Al-Anons Steps/Traditions/Concepts journey.

Love and Serenity,
Dawn
