Hello everyone,

 

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. Hectic 48 hours with an extremely ill child and a 19 year old son who totalled his car this morning. :) Ahhh, ever a life full of activity and surprises!

 

Thanks Tara for chairing the business meeting. I know how busy your, and everyone else's lives. are so I appreciate the time you can give to ASP.

 

I have been remiss in beginning my new duties as Treasurer. I truly appreciate Jerry's patience with me as I attempt to set up the flow of transferring his duties to me. Thank you so much, Jerry. May I be as gracious as you when I move out of the Treasurer position. Your patience has been a lesson for me. Without going into detail I will simply say that it seems as though there is always something going on that seems to interfere with getting obligations met. ASP is only one of the many things I have set aside as I muddle through daily life and attempt to get organized. I will add that my commitment to ASP is a reminder of the importance Al-Anon plays in my life as this disease will continually tell me "there's not enough time."

 

I have retained a mailbox for the new address to mail donations in for the 7th Tradition but I have not opened a checking acccount. It was suggested an account be opened at a national bank but I live in a very small town and there are no national banks available. As busy as my schedule is I don't see myself making it to another city to make deposits so I would like to open an account locally. 

 

I intend to open the account this week. Once my daughter returns to school I will have more freedom to take care of this.

 

So that is my update.
