With the wonderful benefit of the extraction from the manual I wish to reposition my opinion.(And this may be a nice standard to offer the applicable literature when presenting any agenda item).  I do believe that through it rightful process, online groups will find their proper fit and officially become part of the worldwide organization of Al-Anon.  In the meantime, it is a responsible group who follows the manual to its best ability until that official connection is made.  To me I see two positions that might be excluded to dual/double winners (FYI in our metro area "double winners" is the popular reference in face to face meetings):  List Administrator and the OLA-IS Rep. For other responsibilities within a group, even the WSO sees all Al-Anon members as equals ... as do I.

I believe that the trust bestowed these members in order for "Active members of Al-Anon who are also A.A.s may serve as the Sponsor of Alateen groups by virtue of their Al-Anon membership" communicates loudly to me.  Personally, I couldn't tell the day before my ex-fiancee went "out" by looking at him, so I don't believe "face to face" vs. "online meeting" really differentiates here, nor do I believe that that particular point applies as sometimes the family disease of alcoholism brings about greater concerning "ISMS" than in alcoholism.  When it comes to Al-Anon, and working program, I respect the WSO views on dual members and conflict of interest for policymaking at this time, and support "Al-Anon/Alateen members who are also members of A.A. are eligible to hold office within their Al-Anon or Alateen groups."
Thank you for letting me share.
