[Businessmtg] -- Email communications & tone

I just wanted to comment a bit on the email communications and tone.  I too think it is important to remember that we will have differing attitudes here.  And some will have very strong feelings from time to time.  While "cutting people some slack" is helpful, it is also helpful to remember when writing messages that most of us have conflict issues and we need to proceed with some sensitivity too.  Email is a difficult forum to relay tone properly, so writers need to remember that they can appear more abrasive than intended.  If we allow Al-Anon principles to rise higher than our personalities, than respect for one another while in the midst of conflict can help our process to arrive at the best solutions to our business meeting agenda.
Thanks, Mary Beth

<<A word about email communications - especially in the Business

Meeting where disagreements are not uncommon and deciphering

other's tone gets way muddled - often by suspicions of the reader,

but also from the state of mind of the writer: Everybody cut

everybody some slack. If we don't we'll bicker forever - just how

it is.>>
