I simply have one more opinion to express here among the many shared as of late.  To this issue, I apply my program as I do in all areas of my life.  I can not afford to put myself on a rung higher than anyone else.  I can not afford to determine for anyone else what is needed for their program to work well.  I respect anyone turning to Al-Anon for greater serenity.  An alcoholic once explained to me recovery much like trying to bake a cake, in which no one gives you a receipe.  You have to create your own list of ingredients and increments of those ingredients.  If Al-Anon belongs part of that recipe for healthy living for anyone, I support that ....whether it is the 1st or 2nd ingredient, the 4th or the 10th.  I know those who are very active in both programs, have achieved a significant amount of serenity and offer wonderful service everywhere they are.  It is a beautiful thing.  I don't subscribe to conspiracy theory, or ulterior
 motives.  I'm not intimidated by dual members and appreciate being in an area where others feel the same, but realize that other areas may have differing opinions.  I do not have a black or white approach to these positions, and I don't see how treasurer or webmaster affects Al-Anon policymaking so those two positions seem like possibilities to make available to all members.

I do think that if we do not have checks and balances on these positions, regardless of who holds them, then we may want to discuss the possibility of doing so.   

That's all I have to say on this matter.  Take what you like and leave the rest.
