Hello ASP Business Members,

I am so very happy to announce that Anne has volunteered for the position of treasurer. Thank you Anne for making your services available. Anne has submitted her resume, as described in the ASP policy. Her resume is attached below. Since Anne is the only person that is available after 30 days of the business meeting, we will put the meeting on moderated status after the polls have been opened.

A notice will be sent out when the polls are open. Polls will remain open for 4 days.

Please see Anne's resume below for review.

Again, thank you all for all you do!

Jennifer

Why would you like to serve ASP in this position?

a.. Part of my spiritual growth includes service, I want to be able to serve in a variety of areas, I also feel that rotation of service is a tradition that needs to be supported by all members.

What changes would you like to see in ASP?

In general:

a.. In my humble opinion, while nothing is perfect there are no changes to ASP needed. I stay with ASP because it follows the Al-Anon philosophy and principles and allows me to participate 24 hours a day. I continue to be amazed that we can maintain the principles of Al-Anon in this virtual environment.

Specifically regarding this service position:

a.. Again, in my humble opinion, I don't believe changes are needed - however I do think that as a group we should be aware that the steering committee positions are difficult to fill and continue to try to understand why.

What changes do you NOT want to see occur at ASP?

· In general, I am not against change and would be open to changes that go through the Al-Anon discussion process. I would not like to see change happen either for the sake of change or through channels that do not follow the guidelines of this program.

In what way do you feel you participate or contribute to the group?

a.. I show up every day, I share with the group occasionally, I participate in the business meeting, I am a member of the Steering Committee and I currently serve the group as Webmaster.

How do you feel about the current guidelines at ASP?

[refer to http://www.asp-afg.org/ASP/Business/ASP_INFO.htm]

a.. I am happy with the guidelines; they follow the principles of Al-Anon which is very important to me.

Do you have technical or other experience that you feel is significant for this position?

a.. I am good with numbers and spreadsheets

Describe your concept of how much time you have available to serve ASP and how accessible you are to the other members of the Steering Committee and the general membership of ASP.

a.. I work fulltime and have a long commute, but I do check email daily and am available by cell phone.

Any thing else that you would like to say . . .

a.. I would only like to say that I am eternally grateful to this group and Al-Anon, serving this group and this program is an integral part of my spiritual journey.
