Hi ASP business friends,
 
I am new to Paypal but as I understand it, Paypal gives our members the
option of emailing their donations to our account.  Paypal has the added
benefit of processing funds from around the world, doing the currency
conversion and then submitting the adjusted amount to our account.  The
ASP Paypal account is linked to our bank account.  
 
The challenge for ASP is that we are a virtual group without a permanent
brick and mortar structure.  We ran into a snag last year when Paypal
froze our account as they tried to determine our legitimacy.  It took
several months to work this out and took a letter from the WSO to get
the account open again.  Jerry and Steve have the details on this.  Then
when Jerry rotated out as treasurer and I rotated in, we had to navigate
through some additional paperwork to get things moved over to me.
Changing the name on the account is not easy to do.
