After taking care of our meeting's needs first, I agree that I would like to send quarterly contributions to WSO. Is there any reason why WSO could not accept a contribution from us as an on-line meeting? Wouldn't think so but not sure. We do have a position that would be considered a service arm for our on-line meeting and that is the OLAIS position. If we ever fill this position, would this require any additional funds? We voted a while back to give out newcomers packets. Newcomers packets were to be sent to new members of ASP who are also brand new members of Al-Anon...who requested them. I don't recall how we had decided to inform our newcomers of this service or whether any packets were ever distributed. Would like to hear from our treasure/s about this. Expenses for Newcomers packets could be large part of our groups expenses.
I would think that purchasing the softwear we need, to bring our online meeting up to date and running smoothly, would also be part of our meeting's 1st priority on the expense list. I think it is important for us to know exactely all of what our 'group's' expenses are and to see an updated treasure's report (presented at each new business meeting) so that we know what we are working with.
