[Businessmtg] Our new Secretary

Hi ASPers,

 

Ok, the results are actually in, even if a bit late.  And we have a new
Secretary - welcome aboard Melanie!  I'm looking forward to having Melanie
serve ASP as a key member of the Steering Committee.  

 

Rather than trying to stuff the election of another officer into the short
time before the end of the month, we're going to spend that time helping
Melanie get up to speed with her new position - remember the Secretary is
also the Alternate List Administrator so there's a lot that needs to be
done.  We'll give her about 6 weeks to get her feet wet on the job before
giving her the gavel for the next business meeting.

 

So . . . the best course of action at the time seems to be to adjourn the
meeting until October.  Thanks for your patience with our seemingly glacial
process.
