[Businessmtg] What WSO does with the money

Sorry for the double dipping.

After I sent my last email, it occurred to me that we shouldn't even give
the perception of not donating to WSO because of what we perceive they
should or shouldn't be doing. Yes, they are responsible to us, but we have
to let them do their jobs without micromanagement from us.

We are obligated to support Alanon. And at this moment, that means
supporting the WSO. We have to trust that they are doing the best job they
can and are not wasting money. We should not be withholding money because
we don't agree with our perception of how they spend it.

Face it, the amount we are talking about is paltry, compared with what some
of our groups donate. My home group, of which I served as treasurer,
donated at least a thousand dollars to the district, service center and WSO
each year, not only through dispersing the excess funds but also the
quarterly appeal for direct donations.

It seems to me petty that we should even be considering that we should
consider what WSO does with the funds we donate.

P.S. the WSO folks I know are always interested in how our online meetings
are going, and several have asked me about the health of this one because
they don't want to recommend and unhealthy group to a newcomer. It is not
like they don't know we are here.
