[Businessmtg] Room at Convention

I was thinking more about how an on-line room at the International convention would give an opportunity to educate a lot of members about how on-line meetings work and how helpful they can be. It might encourage those who need more meetings to experience the growth & support that can be found  on-line. I know that there are members here in our local F2F groups who have a negative image of on-line meetings. There seems to be a fear that on-line meetings are not real Al-Anon and can be harmful.  If there are members in my town feeling this way then I am sure there are others around the country who feel this way too. I'm thinking it could be a good thing, and it is only a one-time thing for the convention, not an ongoing room that we would have to support. I wasn't thing of an on-line room for members to hide out in  and play on the computers. If the room is intended for the introduction of on-line meetings and Al-Anon educational purposes (like how to find things on all the Al-Anon websites) then I would agree to support this room.Emee
