[Businessmtg] a silent voice

Hi All, 
I joined the business meeting this month, as I have in the past, with the full intention of participating. Life, however, intervened. I did not join in as the topics were introduced - as a matter of fact, I filtered over a thousand messages just now in my inbox to winnow out the business meeting messages. 

And I just read all that I could - it was really interesting to watch the group coalesce. It seems to me, from reading around 100 emails at one go, that the group has swirled around until there appears to be a clear consensus to donate excess funds over prudent reserve to WSO. All the politics behind how the reserve got to be so excessive was interesting, but really seemed to be a subplot to the intentions at this time that I read. 

I guess I am one of the 22 who didn't chime in. It was unintentional; if I'd known my silence was hanging up a decision, I would have removed myself from the meeting. Next meeting I do have things to ask about newcomer packets, but for now I am very comfortable to state my opinion that a sum be donated to WSO. I also agree that prudent reserve plus might be kept, in order to make possible exploring some ideas to serve our membership which might cost some funds. How much the "plus" is seems a new question. 

I think you all are amazing, by the way. Watching the ethics of this group at work is an honor. I learned a lot about principles in all our affairs. Thank you.
