Thanks to both Melanies! :-)
I tend to be very conservative regarding new members serving before they've been in the fellowship the minimum time and/or done the prerequisite service. Unfortunately, I've seen what happens to trusted servants that were 'promoted' before they had the recovery desired for the position. However, I've also learned to be a bit flexible and to consider what I'll call the bigger picture. In this case, what I'm seeing is . . .
* Melanie H. has been in ASP since at least July 2, 2013 when she shared on Service. That's about 7.5 months as of today.
* Melanie H. has been a fully active and regularly participating member of ASP.
* Melanie H. has been involved in ASP service as a Daily Chair.
* Melanie has consistently demonstrated an interest and a willingness to serve that is sadly rather scarce in our fellowship.
* The Treasurer position doesn't officially rotate until April, another 2-3 months, which means Melanie will have been a member of ASP for approximately 10 months at that time.
Bottom line?
I'm A-OK with Melanie H.'s qualifications to serve as our Treasurer, including her time in ASP and her prior service in ASP.
Hugs,
Steve

What changes would you like to see in ASP?
In general: _I would love to see more people sharing and reaching out.

Do you have technical or other experience that you feel is significant for this position?
I am fairly comfortable with most technical details. Paypal is still not my favorite tool in the world, but I used it when it was brand new also.
