The goal is to have more than one person make themselves available for these
positions. Once the time for doing that has passed, then the names and
resumes will be posted.

One of the realities with Al-Anon's is that many will balk at throwing their
hat in the ring, ESPECIALLY if they perceive the other person as someone
likely to get more votes in an election. I've seen this many, many times in
f2f service.

Besides, the names for the LA position will be announced and we'll vote on
the LA position BEFORE we announce who is available for Secretary, and then
Greeter Chair.
 
I hope that explains it. It's not that the Steering Committee is keeping
this a secret - in fact I don't even know who they are myself.
