I am the ASP Webmaster and have been on the ASP Steering Committee since
November 2014, the shortest time of everyone else on the committee. If

While it is true that in ASP, those who are also in AA are ineligible to
serve on the steering committee, they ARE eligible to serve as Daily Chairs
and as Greeters. I have served as a Daily Chair 3 different times and loved
it. The experience was terrific for my own recovery and it feels wonderful
to know that I said things that helped others. Those positions are posted
to the general meeting, and all you have to do is volunteer. So if you are
a double winner, I hope you will find a way to serve ASP in one of those
capacities or just by sharing regularly in our meetings.

I also want to add that for me, serving as ASP Webmaster is a wonderful way
to give back to a meeting that is literally my lifeline. I have gotten so
much from my membership in ASP over the past 7 or 8 years (not sure how
long it's been) and serving on the Steering Committee is a great
experience. It requires very little time and for me, is truly a labor of
love. If you have the willingness, I encourage you to serve.
