officers of ASP or on the
Steering Committee.
Are you a member of AA? No
Why would you like to serve ASP in this position?
I always want to continue to give back to Al-Anon
and ASP us very important to me. I live in a rural
area for 7 months of the year and my home group
is 45 minutes away. – I want to see on-line Al-Anon
continue to grow to serve populations where there
is no f2f Al-Anon.
What changes would you like to see in ASP?
In
general:
I would like to see the Welcome used I our meetings changed to the current
ASP is well run and I would like to see it continue. I would like to see
the Business Meeting schedule adhered to so that other matters can be
discussed.
Welcome used in the Al-Anon World Service Manual. (last paragraph with
regards
to anonymity).
Specifically regarding this service position: As above
What changes do you NOT want to see occur at ASP?
I do not want to see ASP
deviate from the primary
purpose of Al-Anon.
In what way do you feel you participate or contribute to the group?
I read all ASP emails daily. I share ESH both individually and to the
group. I have
chaired meetings both as a regular chairperson and as an alternate.
How do you feel about the current guidelines at ASP?
[refer to http://asp-afg.org/founding-statement]
I am happy with the current guidelines.
Do you have technical or other experience that you feel is significant for
this position?
I believe my service experience is the most significant contribution that I
can make
to ASP. While I do not have experience with administrating web-sites I
learn quickly
and am committed to ASP and Al-Anon Family Groups.
Describe your concept of how much time you have available to serve ASP and
how accessible you are to the
other members of the Steering Committee and the general membership of ASP.
I am retired and have many hours each week available to ASP. As a Trustee
for
Al-Anon I probably averaged 10+ hours per week of Al-Anon Service.
Anything else that you would like to say . . .
As I have stated I am retired and I will be travelling during July and
August through the
Outback of Australia. I will have my ASP on vacation for that period of
time as my email
will be on vacation.
