[Businessmtg] Resume for List Administrator

Hi folks,

There are a couple of versions to the answer to Jennifer's question.

1. The Secretary is the Alternate List Administrator. So yes, there is an alternate to the List Administrator when the LA is unavailable.

2. Sandie's trip to Australia - BTW I'm jealous! - will be BEFORE the rotation of the List Administrator. In other words, Cyndi will still be the LA this summer while Sandie is on her trip. The rotation for LA is scheduled for November.

3. I'll note that during the 10 years that I was the List Owner**, we took numerous trips that resulted in a limited ability to get online. Those trips ranged from a week to four (4) months. ASP functioned just fine in my absence. Yes, we had some hiccups but then every meeting has hiccups from time to time. The other trusted servants handled what needed to be handled and ASP continued to run. We got caught up the next time I was able to get online. I'm quite certain that most of the members were clueless that my wife and I were wandering around the Arctic from early June through early October.

In other words, this is not an issue that concerns me a great deal.

As I mentioned in #1, the Secretary is the Alternate List Administrator. In other words, the Secretary needs to be trained in all of the responsibilities of the LA just as much as the LA. And the Secretary needs to have full access to everything - all user names and passwords.

Hugs,
Steve

** List Owner. As the List Owner I actually owned ASP for the first 10 years. ASP was hosted on my personal server account and for obvious security reasons I did not provide access to the server to anyone. I was the List Administrator, Treasurer and Web Master, so when I was gone all of those positions were out of town with me. The Secretary and Greeter Chair were the only two other members of the Steering Committee.

Good Morning,
My question concerns the 2 months away from ASP. Is there an alternate to the list administrator that would cover during that time?
