Thanks, Laura, for getting us started.

The amount of email that comes in from ASP, as a newcomer, is quite
substantial. I am on email for work so I can manage it, but it definitely
isn't for everyone. The nice thing about having off topic posts labeled is
that we can just delete them if I don't want to put the time into it.

I don't want to cut off a lifeline for people who need it if the group is
able to support it. I know I'm not responding to off topic posts or even
reading them mostly, but maybe others are? If people are available to
respond to the off topic posts then we should keep them. If not, then we
should gently let folks know this isn't the space for it.

Question: how many off topic posts are requests for emergency esh? If this
is happening frequently it's important to view it as a "burning desire"
such as we would have in a f2f. If they are more general it is a different
matter.
