[Businessmtg] Off topic email change the paradigm?

Hi all,
I also get swamped with emails. The way I look at it is if I went to a weekly face-to-face meeting, I would get one seventh of the shares that I get in an ASP meeting. Well even less than that, actually, considering that there is no room big enough to hold all the members in ASP!
So, when I get overwhelmed I simply select all or most or a week's worth and I delete wholesale. The way I figure it my HP will make sure I get the message I need! As far as off-topic though, they can be sorted out with a simple search of email, and deleted if people don't want to deal with them.
In terms of the health of members, and a true hand out for people in anguish, I think the off-topic emails are crucial. However, I understand the difference between the he said she said blow-by-blow verbal vomiting that happens, and a true request for ES H about how to handle a situation.
So maybe that's the answer. Maybe instead of posting the sentence at the bottom of the lead share that if you have something off topic please label it as such, maybe write a paragraph that goes at the bottom of each meeting that says if you have a specific need for ES H about the situation, please label it that way.
I have saved emails from members who responded to my request for ES H that I still refer to. One of my most powerful replies to members who expressed the same problem that I had asked for help with is a compilation of those replies I received.
Truthfully, I think the delete button is the answer to excessive off-topic postings.
