[Businessmtg] Off Topic

Personally I do not have a problem with Off Topic when it is used occasionally. I believe  that one of the main reasons that a member asked for this discussion as one day in June there were 5 or 6 off topics in a row and we had a lot in June. 

We have had members who only post Off Topics. Some of our new members are posting off topic as soon as they are subscribed. They don't seem to have absorbed much of the information in the letters and on the website. So much that they ask is answered on our website. Some have been off the wall and I have had members question if we were hacked. 

I encourage all of you to be familiar with the website. There is a wealth of information on the site, know what is there so that you can refer newcomers to it. We listen to your comments and try to incorporate any ideas that you have given us into the website. 

On another note as List Administrator (LA) I have updated the automatic letter that goes out from the LA to newly subscribed members making it considerably less wordy and has a direct link to the newcomer page. 

There have been many good suggestions from this Business Meeting and we appreciate everyone's comments.
