One year's participation in ASP is a prerequisite to serving as an officer
of ASP.  Participation may take many forms, but merely having one's email
address on the ASP server is not participation.
Service Positions held in Al-Anon:
A member of ASP must have served ASP in some other service capacity for 1
year in addition to any other minimum qualifications for ASP Officers.
Face-to-Face Al-Anon: Chaired for a week as a substitute

ASP: no service yet
Online Al-Anon other than ASP: none

Members of Al-Anon who are also members of AA are not eligible to serve as
officers of ASP or on the Steering Committee.
Are you a member of AA? No
Why would you like to serve ASP in this position?
I would like to serve because I want to get into service.

What changes would you like to see in ASP?
In general: I would like to have more ESH readings for a better
perspective.

Specifically regarding this service position:

What changes do you NOT want to see occur at ASP? I do not want the OT to
be removed from the mailing list as I strongly feel when a member needs to
vent out, a proper platform should be available. Putting OT in other mail
would be too much when one is dealing with crisis. One window lends more
credibility.

In what way do you feel you participate or contribute to the group?
I read shares regularly, respond to people whose shares I like or give ESH
if asked for. I share almost daily. So that is the way I am connected to
the program and the group.  I woukd definitely love to go one step further
and get into service.


How do you feel about the current guidelines at ASP?

I think they are quite compliant to having a healthy group conscience. I
never had issues with it in dealing with shares or getting esh for my own
shares.


Do you have technical or other experience that you feel is significant for
this position?
I can be available online any time of the day as I am self employed and can
schedule my day as per my own priorities.

Describe your concept of how much time you have available to serve ASP and
how accessible you are to the other members of the Steering Committee and
the general membership of ASP.
I would be able to take out an hour per day. Somedays even two if required.
I just need to be informed about the schedule atleast 2 days in advance.


Anything else that you would like to say  . . .
I love the program and I love the fact that someone made it possible for me
to reach out as f2f is not available in my city. So I travel 5 hrs to get
to an f2f. I would love to serve and reach out to as many suffering peopke
as possible.
