During my 3 years as Greeter Chair I can't think of any time that I had to spend more than an average of 20-30 minutes per day at the computer. Since that role also serves on the steering committee there were times that my duties extended to the leadership side of the aisle and not just the oversight of the greeters/process. Those 3 years were invaluable to my recovery. Where I might have flaked off, because that's what I do, having made a 3 year commitment forced me to stay motivated and active. I would love to serve in that capacity again at another point in the future. I can think of no reason NOT to volunteer.
