[List Administrator]

To answer the questions. 

1.  Why does ASP have so many empty positions all at one time?  Has this
happened before (no volunteers for committee positions)?  If so, what was
done then? 
During the last Business Mmeting we had three members resign, two were mainly due to the attacks from other Al-Anon Members within the Business Meeting.  The third resigned for personal reasons.  Of those that resigned two had nearly 1 1/2 years to go on there term.  The MEMBER at Large of the Steering Committee had until October 1 for her 6 month term.  I also am resigning once we have a new List Administrator  And a new slate of officers. Why? The officers (myself included) have been constantly criticised throughout this term.  
Every Business Meeting has been a struggle.  
The webmasters term does not expire until November 1. 



2.  What happens to ASP if none or not enough of the positions are filled
to do the work that is necessary? 
As it is I am filling in for both the Secretary and the Greeter Chair.  And I will continue to do so until such time as a new List Admin. And Secretary are voted in.




3.  Why are so many positions vacant all at the same time?
 See question one. 

4.  Shouldn't discussion on this situation take place before proceeding to
other agenda topics, if only to define the process and needs more clearly?

This situation will only be rectified if Steve does not have a voice in this meeting. 

5.  Is there a more concise explanation of those job duties and what it
takes to apply? 

All of these positions require more than one years service in ASP.   So that would mean either a full term of one year as a greeter or 2 terms as Daily Chairpersons. 

I have sent a separate email as far as what I do regularly.  I would venture a guess that I spend 2-4 hours per day on List Admin. Duties -- more right now as I fill in for the Secretary and Greeter Chair. 

On another note there are only 3-4 people in the Business Meeting who actually qualify for the positions.  And most of those have said at different times that they would not subject themselves to this dysfunction.
