I enjoyed my Steering Committee work, even tho I experienced people wanting to dominate. Which is one of the 3 major dangers to healthy groups. Also, no one can own an Al-Anon meeting, which is sometimes brought up. We operate by group consensus. Which we did, during my term. I highly recommend taking a seat at the table. Group consensus will prevail. There are many people who work together to keep us healthy!
