Questions put forth by Sandie:'

1. Are you in favour of closing this meeting and then starting a new
meeting August 1st?

*No, 1 August is only 4 days away. It makes little or no sense to close
this meeting and start another one in such a short length of time.*

2. What do we know about the Business Meetings ability to respond to the
friction in this group in terms of Al-Anon's primary purpose and it's
resources?

*BM members have the 36 principles of Al-Anon with which to work. It would
be nice to see all those involved in personal conflicts to recognize that
kind of behavior is hurting this meeting. As far as I can tell by input,
some already have. Is there a guarantee that the dominance and bullying
will stop? *

2. How do you think this can be resolved? Will you be part of the solution
or the problem? How can our discussions be consistent with Al-Anon's
spiritual principles?

*Get your Service Manuals out and follow the 'suggestions' therein. They
work if you work them. Obviously some of the 'suggestions' at ASP are not
working at all or are working poorly. Maybe it is time for change. We
can glance at the past but do not need to stare at it. Change comes with
growth and vice versa. Change can be beneficial.*

3. Would an inventory of the Business Meeting in the month of August or
September be beneficial?

*August. Any time an inventory is taken there are benefits ... provided
members respond.*

4. What do we wish we knew? What additional information do we need before
moving forward?

*I would like to be assured that all information is given to all BM members
and any "behind the scenes" dialogue pertinent to items on the BM agenda be
made to all instead of to individuals. Unless also on the Steering
Committee, Business Meeting members have no idea what has taken place
there. We can't discuss and/or decide things about which we are not fully
informed. Again, it may be time for ASP to make some changes to its
'guidelines'. Keep It Simple comes to my mind. *
