Hi Friends:

I am not in favor of creating a branch meeting.

ASP is well structured and dedicated to following the Steps, Traditions, Concepts, CAL, Slogans, Topics.  I prefer it not be diluted with multiple choices.


Yes, it can be confusing when you first come through these doors.  I had never even heard of Al-Anon, let alone be able to ask questions.


Part of the path to recovery is listening and learning, and then wanting to hear more, and then starting to practice, and then realizing how important it is to have a sponsor, then service.  It's a process.  I think that all happens in a good, strong, regular meeting that sticks to the principles of Al-Anon.


Incidentally, we are traveling and I'm driving morning til night, so it's possible I may be slow to respond for next couple of days.  It doesn't mean I don't have something to say - (you aren't that lucky).
