Biz Pals,
I took yesterday day off from ASP so am not up on this last spate of emails. To answer Laura's questions (below) in a general way, it's not just editing or design I proposed. It's reordering, simplifying messages, prioritizing, some eliminating, some adding, the list goes on. And, yes, I have some specific ideas and thoughts on editing.
I mentioned my experience with these things. That experience has taught me there are a few things which are certain to guarantee bad outcomes:
~ Number one on the list is creation by administrative committee. That goes for writing, layout, and design. The real good stuff comes from having a vision and a creative team which helps carry it out.
~ Number two on the list is a lack of time - doing things in a rush. This results in rushed input, harried noggins, and snap decisions. That's why I had asked for a month to thoughtfully edit, rework, and refresh current materials and the proposed additional First Step and Forum-like content.
The neat thing is there's a buzz happening here. Input suggestions. Interest. The iron, it appears, is hot - a good time for striking. As I've mentioned in recent posts, I'd volunteer to help, but some official BC action should first define and authorize the process and set a reasonable time frame.
I look forward to the Business Committee's voice on this.
Hugs,
Jerry

Hi all,
Could those of you who think there is a bit too much information on the
newcomer page give us an idea how it could be edited? The page is here:

For those of you who are relatively new to program, is there anything you
think should be added or taken away?
Jerry, I know you offered to redesign it, but is there something
specifically that you think is too much information? Have you thought yet
about exactly what you think should be there?
Thanks!
Jane
