[Businessmtg] Newcomer packets

I am not in favor of newcomer packets being sent and would like to see a
motion put forth to reverse the decision to do so. Also, not sure how many
may have seen the Newcomer page on the member site:
asp-afg.org/members/newcomers

The page begins as follows: "Welcome to Al-Anon. Welcome home. "This page
contains some basic information for those who are new to the Al-Anon
program. If you still have questions or want to find a local meeting,
please consult Al-Anon’s World Service website:  http://al-anon.alateen.org/.
For any other questions you may have about Al-Anon or A Serenity Place,
please contact ASP’s List Administrator at  list_administrator at asp-afg.org.
"The Serenity Prayer and the Al-Anon Suggested Welcome open each of our
daily meetings here at A Serenity Place:" The Serenity Prayer and Suggested
Welcome follow. After this, there are Tools of the Program: Meetings
(linked to the "find a meeting" page on the WSO website),
Sponsorship(linked to the Sponsorship page on the member site), 12 Steps,
12 Traditions, 12 Concepts of Service (all linked to those lists), Al-Anon
Slogans and CAL (both linked to their corresponding pages on the site). New
Member Podcasts were added after at Sandie's suggestion. These are followed
by the Suggested Al-Anon Preamble to the Twelve Steps. The paragraphs under
the heading “Violence” were added recently. There was a passage from CAL
there, but we recently learned that there we were not authorized to reprint
CAL on the website (with some very specific exceptions, such as the 12
Steps, 12 Traditions, etc.).
