The new committee should discuss email newcomer packets of a couple of scanned or pdf files as an attachment to the  newcomers welcome to ASP email that is sent out by the greeters. 

No postage necessary. It could include a welcome, and perhaps some pdfs of downloadable CAL and an intro page of how ASP communication works. The committee would decide what would be in the email packet file. 

No snail mail!
