One thing I have learned in Al-Anon that nothing is written in stone and we all have the option of changing our minds.  

The motion to Rescind (or repeal or annul) is used to cancel a motion altogether. The motion to Amend Something Previously Adopted is used to make a change to a motioneither by making a simple change or two or by substituting something else in its place.
