Hi all (and Jerry specifically),

I disagree that there is a consensus on this issue. There are two camps:
rescind the motion (and stop sending the packets) or send it to the
newcomer committee to make a recommendation (which may or may not stop
sending). Those who wish to send it to the newcomer committee are open to
the possibility of the project continuing.

So therefore, I don't see that a consensus exists, even to stop sending the
packets.

I stand behind my decision to switch to traditional rules.

There is a motion on the floor that has been seconded. We will now discuss
the issue. I will ask that discussion be wrapped up by Saturday 5/20.
