Once I am gone, my guess is the steering committee will go back to the old
websites. My term is up next month. If the vote is tabled now, it probably
won't come up again. It's a simple yes or no vote and can be done without
interfering with the rest of the meeting.

Why will they go back to the other format? Because the claim will be made
that the approval was not legitimate. It won't matter that the Steering
Committee approved it unanimously. It won't matter that the sites have been
in use for nearly 3 years. Those who agreed with my perspective have quit
and those who remain will either push to go back to the other sites or be
bowled over by those who do. I will be off the committee and will no longer
have any say in the matter. That's hard for because I really believe that
the current member site in particular is far more user-friendly than the
old site was. The newcomer page, which I added and Sandie helped improve,
has been really helpful to new members. It will be a shame to see it all go
to waste... But I have little doubt this will happen.
