First, Kim, my heart goes out to you as you sit with your dear friend, and MIL.  Sending prayers your way.

I do have some questions for you.

Can you tell us how long you have been a member of ASP and what if any service you have participated in?  And are you or have you been a member of AA?

I am willing to serve as member at large on the steering committee.  I am also sitting by my dear friend and mother in law’s dying bedside, keeping it simple.  I am unable to fill in the formal resume at this time.

ASP online has been a life line for me especially this pass year when I could not make f2f meetings, as it was in my early years when I couldn’t make it through the night.  

I have served twice as meeting chair and have been a member for maybe two to three years all together.  Recently I chaired  the Wed Tradition and Concept meeting and attend business meetings.  I regularly participate, focusing of me, on topic, sharing my ESH.  

My recovery date as close as I can figure out is June 27, 2005.  

I haves served Al-Anon at the group, district, AIS and Area levels.  I’ve been on many workshop, event and convention planning meetings.  Chaired as District Rep and Alternate Rep, Phone Coordinator, Literature Coordinator, Convention Chair and Newsletter editor.  I served on an insurance task force committee when my Area moved into the direction of incorporation.  Lastly, I recently was asked to consider accepting a nomination of Area delegate to our WSC.  
I’m honored but more importantly, to me, humble.  I am talking to my sponsor and service sponsor and turning it over to my HP for direction.  

I feel a tug to serve ASP beyond my current participation under all the not at this time voices in my head.

I would like the steering committee to consider a phone conference call.  Perhaps hearing ourselves and listening to each other, with a chair who keeps us focused, we can work towards individual recovery and unity, moving forward serving ASP and keeping this valuable resource available.
