Hi Jerry et al,
I'll refer to Motion #8 passed in April 2010. It can be found at http://asp-afg.org/members/motions-made/, but I'll quote the motion here between the two rows of =========:
===================================
Motion #8
“I move that ASP make the following changes to the requirements for serving as an Officer of ASP and the related changes to the Resume Form as defined in the following link: http://www.asp-afg.org/OfficerQualificationsMotion.htm”*
Moved by Steve, seconded by Ed – Tue 4/13/2010
PASSED: 15 for, 3 against
*Note: link no longer leads to the changes in the resume form. The following is the current form, after the changes that were made:
Resume ASP Steering Committee
===================================
Back to my talking again . . .
The complete wording of the resume that this motion refers to is in the next two paragraphs. The actual resume form can be found at
http://asp-afg.org/members/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Resume-ASP-Steering-Committee.htm
but I'll quote it this time between the 2 rows of ***********
***********************************
"One year's participation in ASP is a prerequisite to serving as an officer of ASP. Participation may take many forms, but merely having one's email address on the ASP server is not participation."
"Service Positions held in Al-Anon:
A member of ASP must have served ASP in some other service capacity for 1 year in addition to any other minimum qualifications for ASP Officers."
***********************************
Back to my talking again . . .
It is the second paragraph that states the prior service requirement that ASP added for candidates to serve as an officer.
Hugs,
Steve
