Thank you Kristen.

Kristen is not only correct technically. She is also "right" in Al-Anon principle.

Hugs,
Steve

Subject: [Businessmtg] Business meeting: NO ORIGINAL MOTION

Hello everyone!
I am going to make this short and hope that these facts allow us all to stop before we go ANY further.
“Pushing” forward for reasons NOT in the best interest of the group but rather merely one or two members is negligent and grossly irresponsible.
We can and ought to do better than that.
... if we address Number 1 we may have a chance to consider doing it the correct and honest way.
1. The “motion” LA/Chair posted to the recovery meeting was false being that NO “motion” was made in the last BM (May she mentioned) where there was discussion of this topic.
2. We at ASP use our OWN form of the KBDM process.
MY OPINION IS THAT WE DID NOT AND HAVE NOT MADE IT THROUGH 1/4 OF OUR PROCESS TO DATE.

*In my own basic summation* that means we participate in a knowledge based discussion to gain sufficient and well rounded understanding BEFORE we make a decision (no matter big or small).
We gain KNOWLEDGE (by asking relevant questions and gathering relevant factual information as members to formulate our next steps.
Our next step then goes through the same process (example: what will happen if we do something, what happens if we do nothing, how might this affect us going forward) Our next step then goes through the same process (example: if we are doing something how, when and why are we doing it and how might this affect us going forward).
Our LAST step (example: we put an item to a motion to be voted on considering how might this affect us going forward).

Thank you for reading,
Kristen
