Hi all - thank you Karen for your thoughtful response. 

At one of my very first F2F meetings, the leader chose to make it about a specific religion. Fireworks ensued. Several people rushed up to me afterwards and assured me that it wasn’t the norm, and to keep coming back. I did, and learned from the experience that life isn’t always rainbows and unicorn farts, and growth can still occur. 

This month’s business meeting was much along the same lines. Was it ideal? Nope. Did I still learn? Yep. 

I’m fine with tabling things until the March meeting.
