Thank you, Anne, for being so  willing to serve. I appreciate you and the time you’ve put into the group over the years. That said, if memory serves, in a past business meeting a similar situation arose where someone else was willing to step out of another service position in order to serve on the steering committee and if I recall, we allowed it, though there was concern. Now admittedly, I have not gone through the archives so if I’m misremembering, no harm no foul, however; I’m curious how the group as a whole would be well served by 1. allowing an application to come in after the 7 day deadline, and 2. allowing another position to become vacant in order to fill this one. 

All of that said, again, I am grateful for Anne’s willingness to serve in whatever capacity she feels led. I am a bit concerned that we are attempting to force a solution here, as opposed to a solution presenting itself organically wherein a member of ASP who is fully qualified, steps up and is willing to serve.
