Hi Jerry, et al.

I would like to respond to Jerry’s email, the sentence including “slightly
distorted impression”, chuckling....

Jerry, it depends what your perspective is. Either the glass is half empty
or the glass is half full. Either you future trip, or you live in the
moment, one day at a time. A choice. I choose to live in the moment, one
day at a time. I understand the struggle. Really I do. This is about me
practicing my program. It was something I had to learn, about commitment,
when I took the six months chair. Takes time, patience and tolerance.

I would also like to bring to remembrance to clarify the passage in the
archives that Steve spoke about regarding no one serving in a position and
if the position remains vacant. I found it on 10/25/17. This is what I
found. Steve is answering Barbara’s question.

“Hi Barbara, when we’ve had vacancies in the past, our practice has been to
discuss the situation in the Steering Committee. Then the Steering
Committee reaches a consensus a temporary solution in the interim.

Sometimes, we have decided to ask one of the officers to fill in for a
while. Other times, we have decided to do nothing and leave the slot open
and unattended.

I can’t speak for the SC so I really don’t know what course of action
will be taken in this situation, except that the steering committee will
discuss it and reach a consensus.

        Hugs,
        Steve”
