hi bmASPers, and steering committee ..
jerry...i appreciate your thoughts on what i posted.  more importantly, i do not agree with you on some things, i agree with others and i now have other questions now that you have posted your response.  i will address these in a separate post before this meeting ends.  thanks for your clarification in other areas and for giving us the steering committee email address.  i for one will save it and use it.  as for the dominance issue,  whether you feel i am trying to be dominant or not, i assure you i am not.  i am only stating what i see to be a problem.  clearly we have dominance issues, whether on-line or in a f2f meeting they exist, just as they exist in ASP.....

as for extending things out to future meetings, i believe that is appropriate and i am not questioning that process.  i am questioning the statement regarding the web committee.  i do not remember seeing anywhere in the past meetings where this was addressed in our polls when we voted (was this actually stated in the poll when we voted).  i am not looking at making major changes to policy etc...i am concerned with content and a type of followup that only other eyes not involved with the process can see.  it requires a line by line read for accuracy.  (its called proofreading)  can you please refer me to where that action occurred as i would like to look into this abit more thoroughly.

as for the acronyms, i do not believe we have the right to edit or delete those that don't fit into our own personal beliefs, as others in the membershlp may/do use them.  that is their choice, and we have no right to restrict resources because we don't like them.  that simply means that we take what we want or need and leave the rest.....if this is being considered i feel it needs to be addressed by the bm, not the steering committee.

i see the steering committee as doing day to day tasks, and the bm as a place to address those things affecting the group.  should this be wrong, can you define the duties of the steering committee and the bm.   in my f2f the steering committee discusses the issues that affect the group as a whole, and we take them to the bm for a vote.  (the sc does not make the decisions that affect the group, the bm does)....as you referenced in one of your earlier posts, the sc was considering looking at the job duties of the trusted servants as well.   would this be a steering committee  issue or taken to the bm.   do job duty changes and committee duties and changes to these committees need to be voted on by the bm.   i am trying to understand where the boundaries for the steering committee end and the boundaries for the bm begin.  one more thing, is there a place that the discussions in the steering committee are posted so we can see what decisions are made regarding things passed to them for consideration ?....i for one would like to know what guides the sc...anyone else out there ever wonder about this?
thanks for reading this and allowing me to share....
hugggsss,
karen c
