Service Positions held in Al-Anon:

A member of ASP must have served ASP in some other service capacity for 1 year in addition to any other minimum qualifications for ASP Officers.


Face-to-Face Al-Anon:
I’ve helped with getting the room ready and cleaning up after the meeting; a couple times I helped collect the meeting donations.


ASP:
I have chaired the Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday meetings over the years I have been in ASP. I am sorry I do not recall which years those are - I do not keep my shares after the 6 month term is up.

Why would you like to serve ASP in this position? 
I feel that I can make a contribution with my knowledge, and I believe that a service position will help my recovery


What changes would you like to see in ASP?

In general:

None

Specifically regarding this service position: None. I have been in the business meetings this year.

What changes do you NOT want to see occur at ASP?

I do not want to see a departure from the steps, traditions and concepts. 
  
     
In what way do you feel you participate or contribute to the group?

I have been in school for the last 2 years, so my participation has been sporadic. However, I have chaired meetings in the past and I have shared my ESH


How do you feel about the current guidelines at ASP?  [refer to http://asp-afg.org/founding-statement]

I agree with the current ASP guidelines.


Do you have technical or other experience that you feel is significant for this position?

Currently I create “web-type” pages for internal use at work. I refer to them as “web-type” because they are used through a browser like Firefox or Chrome, but they are created and hosted through a specific software platform and not available on the standard Internet. At the end of April 2018, I will have a masters in cybersecurity as well.


Describe your concept of how much time you have available to serve ASP and how accessible you are to the other members of the Steering Committee and the general membership of ASP.

As of May 5th, I will have 10+ hours / week to serve ASP.  I am accessible by e-mail on a daily basis for the Steering Committee and the general membership.
