[Businessmtg] Newcomers Meeting per Al-Anon Guidelines

As a long time member in Al-Anon, I was one of the weekly chairs at our
local Newcomers Meeting that was sponsored by my home group.

After 15 years of sharing the chair's job with others, I concluded that
following the Al-Anon Guidelines for such a meeting had as much recovery
material to offer me as possibly it did for the new to Al-Anon people.
There was barely a week that we did not have a room full of newbies, who
mostly chose to return for the 6 week series in addition to attending other
f2f meetings.  It was very positive and full of information.

I would like to thank BJ for her thoughtful additional information on the
Nov 3 email.

In the last part of what you said beginning with:  “and it is important to
recovery for those who conduct such meetings.” Can you please explain this
a little more to me?  I am not sure what you mean here.
