Hi business people!

I've been reading through emails about newcomers and I'm sorta one of
them. I'm not new to al anon but have only been in ASP over a few months.
I knew a bit about what goes on in f2f meetings but nothing about online.

I agree with Mary about giving an email with listed items on it to offer
newcomers info about al anon and how it works. I am still working on
figuring out how this online meeting works.

I read shares and share but have been told that I was not sharing properly
based on how this online meeting shares. I know all meetings have their
own rules and things they allow or don't allow which makes every meeting
unique in their own way. I had no idea I was doing things the wrong way
and couldn't find anything about it either but I changed my shares.

I think giving newcomers info is never a bad thing. We all needed info
when we started and members offered it to us. Some things don't make sense
but then we can ask more about it to understand it. A welcome is nice but
more info would be very helpful.

I did receive emails saying glad you are here and welcome. An email asking
if I was new or needed any help would have been cool. Mary's idea with an
email giving links and info would be awesome. I find myself emailing so
many people about their questions on here and when someone is asking how to
get a sponsor, I think that's a huge step so giving the info to everyone
would be great.

Just my two cents on this. Thanks for letting me share on this!

Danielle
