hi all.
Beverly said something about a "sponsor" taking lots of sponsees....
and not working a program..
Well. I was a sponsee with such a woman here in my hometown last summer.
(2017)
She , as i see it clearly today, was a sick woman.
As It appeared , she took on so many woman, so she did not have to do her
own work... and i was clueless until i was NOT.
It was scary how odd and gross i felt working with her.
She was very controlling, told me all that was wrong with me, and being low
low, i believed her until someone called me out on it.... and gently nudged
me to move onward.
She had about 35 sponsees. Can anyone do a personal recovery with that many
kittens under their wing?
I don't believe there are as many hours in the day needed to do all that.
Oy.
I am SOOOOOOO grateful i saw the light, or rather was shown my light,
because i was headed south fast, and i had years of alanon too!
Not even a newbie!

soooooo.
This Does NOT make me at all awkward to discuss and might need discussing
if it appears it may be occurring or could occur.
I am happy to discuss. If it saves folks from unnecessary, maybe even
dangerous, sponsoring" from unhealthy individuals.
But understand how creepy it might feel to some to discuss. I am over it,
forgave the woman, and myself for berating myself being sucked into
something i should have (haha. should have, could have and would
have...not!.) done differently.

However,,,,I believe if we are careful, and choose wisely from group
conscious', a committee for newcomers, using "resumes" to do so, we could
have an excellent group of folks to guide those new to the program, without
being over-controlling, forcing others to bend to their wills, -ie,
control,ha, or otherwise giving advice, or etc. Unhealthy stuff so to speak.

How we choose other trusted servants could be used to choose re-birthed
newcomers committee members.

Just my way late at night thoughts. (it is 8:19PM here... i am beat!)
