All,
Steve's note makes an important point. ASP has written, group
conscience-approved business processes. We've had some serious
behind-the-scenes problems caused by trusted servants not following
these processes and not that long ago, either. True, this particular
agenda item seems to have total unanimity - and because of that I lost
sight of the required steps. That doesn't make it right to skip parts of
the process. The time or topic may come when not following our processes
could work against forming a true consensus or unity within ASP.
The only way to hold current and future leaders to our group consciences
is to uphold to the letter the processes which have helped ASP succeed
for so long. So, my apologies for having skipped a couple of steps.
It is my intention, not having received negative comments on the motion
and having 100% unanimity to date in the BM, to have the poll up by
tomorrow morning unless a need for discussion shows up before then - and
if the Webmaster can get to it. Stay tuned.
In service,
Jerry H., BM Chair
