[Businessmtg] Archives of ASP Meeting Shares: why?

Hello.

I see archives of every meeting from April 2006 to present. 

I do not see any mention of the word "archive" on the Group Conscience page, nor do I see a discussion in the Business Meeting Archives findable with the key word "archive". 

We used to have a trusted servant position of Archivist but I don't see it anymore.

I protect my own anonymity by not using my common email, name nor any identifying information (city, country, family name, work, etc) so I'm not worried about my anonymity.

It would help me to know what led to the decision of starting the archive (Why are they archived? ) and what past archivists feel about the trusted servant position work before I decide if the established protocol should be stopped. 

Was there a business meeting discussion on this or was it decided by the steering committee?
