[Businessmtg] Motion on the Floor

Biz-Pals,

Please notice:

Once there's a motion on the floor continued discussion is halted
awaiting a second. Should no second be heard in a reasonable amount of
time (here online that would be considerable longer than were we meeting
f2f) the motion would be taken from the table and discussions could
continue. As it stands we are still awaiting a possible second to this
motion.

According to ASP practice, once a motion is heard ASP's Knowledge-Based
Decision Making process (KBDM) reverts to Robert's Rules of Order
(RR's). Until it is determined that a second will not be forthcoming
further discussions on the topic at hand are out of order. If a second
is forthcoming the motion will come to a vote. If that vote were to fail
then further discussions could continue under KBDM, or a different
motion on this agenda item would be entertained in which case we'd stick
with RR's. If it were to pass the Business Meeting would move on to
another agenda item: our trusted servant reports or new business, again
using ASP's KBDM process.

In service,
Jerry H., Chair
